The blog would feature our dog, Phoebe, and cat, named Cat, a s a way of treating the Trump assault on American traditions with a degree of humor, so as not to be overwhelmed by the despair and fear the election produced.
This narrated slideshow discusses the origins of the blog, it's debt to a similar approach pioneered by a newspaper columnist nearly a century ago, and to how it's developed so far. Since the video-slide show was made, I've changed the name to "Tracking Trump," although the domain name is the same: www.ontrumpstrail.com and am doing the photos in black and white.
The blog is a work in progress. I hope to make it stronger, to better develop the characters, and to remember that action is as important as talk when it comes to nurturing democracy, also a work in progress.
